dbx 2231 Dual 31-Band Graphic Equilizer & Limiter | Professional Audio

Description

Take precise control of your sound with the dbx 2231 Graphic Equalizer, a professional dual-channel EQ designed for studio and live sound applications. With 31 bands per channel at 1/3-octave intervals, it provides detailed control across the audible frequency range. The 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range allows you to shape low, mid and high frequencies with precision. Therefore, you can correct room response, remove unwanted frequencies and fine-tune the overall character of your sound system. The dbx 2231 also features integrated Type III noise reduction technology. It can lower the noise floor by up to 20dB, helping maintain a cleaner signal during demanding equalization. As a result, your system can deliver clear and transparent audio with reduced background noise. In addition, the built-in Peak Plus limiter provides adjustable threshold control for added system protection. The limiter helps prevent clipping and manages unexpected signal peaks before they can cause problems for connected equipment. This makes the unit useful in both live performance and studio environments. For easy monitoring, the front panel includes LED bargraphs that display output levels and gain reduction in real time. This allows engineers to make accurate adjustments while monitoring system performance. The dbx 2231 offers flexible connectivity through XLR, 1/4-inch TRS and barrier strip connections. Therefore, it can integrate into a wide range of professional audio systems. Whether you are managing a live PA system, correcting room acoustics or fine-tuning a studio mix, the dbx 2231 provides precise frequency control, noise reduction and reliable signal management in a professional rackmount format.
