Ibanez GIO Series Electric Guitars – GRG170DX & GRG150QA Models

Description

The Ibanez GIO Series offers versatile electric guitars designed for players who want comfortable playability, flexible tones and the distinctive Ibanez RG style. Models such as the GRG170DX and GRG150QA provide a practical platform for beginners, developing guitarists and players exploring rock, blues and heavier styles. Both models feature an H-S-H pickup configuration with Infinity R humbuckers at the neck and bridge and an Infinity RS single-coil pickup in the middle position. Combined with a 5-way selector switch, this setup provides several tonal options. You can move from powerful humbucker sounds to brighter single-coil tones for different playing styles. The slim GRG Maple neck is designed for comfortable movement across the fretboard. With 24 medium frets, these guitars provide plenty of room for chords, riffs, lead playing and soloing. The construction is suitable for players who want a fast and accessible neck for everyday practice and performance. The models also offer different visual styles. The GRG170DX features distinctive sharktooth-style inlays, while the GRG150QA is recognized for its Art Grain quilted Maple top and pearloid pickguard. Body materials may include Poplar or Basswood depending on the model. For expressive playing, the guitars feature a synchronized tremolo bridge and chrome hardware. The fretboard may be made from treated New Zealand Pine or Purpleheart, depending on the selected model. With versatile pickups, a comfortable neck and recognizable RG styling, the Ibanez GIO Series is a flexible choice for practice, recording, rehearsals and live performance.
